My Goal Is Simple:
I want you to understand one another with clarity, communicate with respect, and create a partnership that feels steady and supportive.
I created The AH Collective to share relationship education with more people. I love working with couples and I love teaching. This platform lets me reach a wider audience and offer guidance in a clear and accessible way.
My Background
I have spent more than twenty years in healing work. I earned my psychology degree from UC Davis and a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine in California. I practiced acupuncture for over two decades, and during that time I noticed that people wanted to talk as much as they wanted physical care.
In my forties I returned to graduate school and completed a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am now a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I also hold Reiki Level II training and come from a family line of Mexican curanderos.
For the past five years I have worked as a psychotherapist specializing in relationship work. I have supported couples through communication problems, intimacy concerns, family issues, and the hard emotions that come with conflict. I understand the depth and complexity of long term love.
Why I Started The AH Collective
I wanted a space where I could teach more people at once. Seeing one couple at a time is meaningful, but it limits how many people I can help. Relationship education should be easy to access. Many couples want support, but they do not know where to start.
The AH Collective gives me a way to teach practical skills that help couples strengthen their bond. I focus on premarital coaching because early preparation makes a major difference. Clear communication and honest expectations help couples avoid unnecessary conflict and stress.
This work also lets me embrace my inner teacher. I enjoy sharing knowledge, offering direct guidance, and helping people understand themselves and their partners with more accuracy.
My Approach
My style is direct, warm, and non judgmental. Clients say I help them feel seen and understood. I am known for getting to the core of an issue fast. I offer honest feedback with care and clarity. I believe in:
All couples are welcome. LGBTQIA2S+ couples, non-traditional relationships, and couples from all cultural and religious backgrounds are welcome.
A Bit More About Me...
I have been married for more than thirty years. I know what it takes to keep a partnership strong through different stages of life. I have two adult children who bring me joy and perspective. I also have a sweet rescue dog named Faith who keeps me busy and makes me laugh.
I love to travel and have visited twenty one countries. I enjoy trying new restaurants, exploring new places, and learning about people wherever I go. I also study parapsychology because I am curious about human experience and the unseen parts of life.
